When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect data displayed in the comment form and also the IP address of the visitor and the user agent string of the browser user to help detect spam

An anonymous string created from your email address (also known as a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After accepting your comment, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.
